fieldsman 51 Posted August 9, 2010 Report Share Posted August 9, 2010 Does anyone know where nipper,s linage came from Dam, Sire.More to the point where does the coat come from I was told Norfolk type lurcher then another story was from a smithfield drovers dog if anyone could shed some light on it.Did the ozzy dog come from him if so who was the dam.Any help greatly appreciated. poacher3161 1,766 Posted August 10, 2010 Report Share Posted August 10, 2010 I have some pics [somewere] of a bitch an old mate bought off mick douglas in 1980 and you can see a resemblance in some of the heavy coated coursing dogs of today.It maybe the bedlington that has gave them the type of coat or some other heavy coated breed. fieldsman 51 Posted August 12, 2010 Author Report Share Posted August 12, 2010 Off shoot of the line the blond dog is the sire to the black dog who ive clipped out the warm weather didn,t agree with him.The sire was still doing 2 and 3 at 6 years old and would probably done more if I was the type to keep pushing him.Even if it,s only my kennel blind opinion I still think he looks the biz. I,ve seen the son of ozzy ,ozzy jnr looks like an old english sheep dog if left unclipped, nice dog showing promise could be as good as his sire if all goes well Quote Link to post
